Appropos of May having been designated "Skin Cancer Awareness Month", Dr. Lee spoke about skin cancers and focused primarily on melanoma,
one of the most dangerous types of skin cancer, with alarming statistics--one person dies of melanoma every 52 minutes. The doctor also discussed
squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma, two other types of skin cancer. On a high note, Dr. Lee mentioned the importance of awareness, being in-tune
with your body to notice the first symptoms, as the chances of a cure are quite high. Dr. Lee advised the audience to wear sun-screen lotion and to avoid being in the
sun for long periods of time.
