Εκλεκτός καλεσμένος την Τρίτη, 19 Ιουλίου, ήταν ο παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένος γιατρός Dr. Konstantinos Margetis.
Ο γιατρός είναι Αναπληρωτής Διευθυντής του Τμήματος Νευροχειρουργικής στο Ιατρικό Κέντρο Elmhurst και Επίκουρος Καθηγητής
Νευροχειρουργικής στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai. O Dr. Margetis είναι επίσης Μέλλος του Βασιλικού Κολλεγίου Χειρουργών στην Αγγλία.

Dr. Margetis is Associate Director of the Neurosurgery Department at Elmhurst Hospital Center and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the
Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Margetis is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in England.
Initially, Dr. Margetis informed the audience about the functions of the spinal column and continued with the causes and symptoms associated with tumors of the spine. The doctor emphasized the importance of an early diagnosis as some tumors that press on the spinal cord can affect spinal cord function, eventually resulting in paralysis. On a lighter note, the doctor discussed the various breakthroughs and treatments. Dr. Margetis also briefly referred to arthritis and osteoporosis.
