Εκλεκτοί καλεσμένοι στην εκπομπή του Mount Sinai Hospital την Τρίτη, 27 Σεπτεμβρίου, ήταν οι παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένοι γιατροί Dr. Fadi Attiyeh και Dr. Benjamin Golas,
και οι δύο συμβεβλημένοι με το Mount Sinai Hospital και το St. Luke's/Roosevelt.  Οι γιατροί έλαβαν μέρος σε συζήτηση πάνελ, με θέμα "Όγκοι του Ήπατος και Καρκίνος του Παγκρέατος".

Ο Dr.  Attiyeh είναι Κλινικός Καθηγητής Χειρουργικής στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai και υπήρξε Πρόεδρος στον Σύλλογο Χειρουργικής Νέας Υόρκης και Πρόεδρος στον Αντικαρκινικό Σύλλογο Νέας Υόρκης.

Ο Dr. Benjamin Golas είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής Χειρουργικής στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai και υπήρξε ένας από τους πρώτους χειρούργους στις ΗΠΑ με πιστοποίηση στην περίπλοκη χειρουργική ογκολογίας.  Ο γιατρός είναι Μέλλος στον Σύλλογο Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας και πολλών άλλων επαγγελματικών συλλόγων.

On Tuesday, September 27th, Dr. Fadi Attiyeh and Dr. Benjamin Golas, both affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital and St. Luke's/Roosevelt, participated in a panel discussion
on the Mount Sinai Medical Show on HELLAS FM.  The doctors spoke about tumors of the liver and pancreatic cancer.  They discussed the major risk factors and symptoms of each condition and informed the audience that these two organs can be resistant to the traditional medical treatments.  On a lighter note, Dr. Attiyeh and Dr. Golas discussed the recent breakthroughs in treatment and stressed the importance of an early diagnosis.

Dr. Attiyeh is Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and has served as President of the New York Surgical Society and President of the New York Cancer Society.

Dr. Golas is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and was one of the first surgeons in the U.S. to be board certified in
complex surgical oncology.  Dr. Golas is a member of many professional organizations.
