Την Τρίτη, 20 Δεκεμβρίου, εκλεκτός καλεσμένος για την εκπομπή του νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν ο παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένος χειρουργός Dr. Ninan Koshy.
Ο γιατρός επικεντρώθηκε στην υπερβολική παχυσαρκία, όχι απλά επιδημία, αλλά πανδημία, αφού τα ποσοστά εξακολουθούν να αυξάνονται, σύμφωνα με τον Οργανισμό Παγκόσμιας Υγείας.  Στην συνέχεια, ο γιατρός επισήμανε πως το υπέρβαρο άτομο διατρέχει αυξημένα ρίσκα για παθήσεις που θέτουν τη ζωή σε κίνδυνο και ενημέρωσε τους ακροατές για τις διάφορες χειρουργικές επεμβάσεις για την καταπολέμιση της παχυσαρκίας.

On Tuesday, December 20, Dr. Ninan Koshy, a highly distinguished surgeon, was the guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.
Dr. Koshy focused on obesity, and explained that it is a pandemic as opposed to an epidemic since the statistics according to the World Health Organization continue to rise.   
The doctor emphasized  that a seriously overweight person is at greater risk for life-threatening medical conditions.  In closing, Dr. Koshy informed the worldwide audience about
bariatric surgery, an additional obesity treatment option.

Dr. Koshy is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and he is affiliated with Mount Sinai Hospital and with St. Luke's/Roosevelt.
Dr. Koshy has received many honors and awards for his contributions to the field of medicine.
