Την Τρίτη, 7 Μαρτίου, εκλεκτή καλεσμένη στην εκπομπή του Mount Sinai ήταν η παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένη οφθαλμίατρος, Dr. Meenakashi Gupta.
Αρχικά, η γιατρός επικεντρώθηκε στην ηλικιακή εκφύλιση ωχράς κηλίδας, μία πάθηση που προκαλεί απώλεια όρασης στο κέντρο του οπτικού πεδίου, και που οφείλεται κυρίως

On Tuesday, March 7,  Dr. Meenakashi Gupta was the highly distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show, hosted by FayKozas.
Initially, the doctor spoke about age-related macular degeneration, a condition that causes loss in the center of the field of vision.  In the course of the presentation,
Dr. Gupta also spoke about diabetic retinopathy, a condition where the blood vessels in the retina weaken, causing the retina to become detached.
In closing, Dr. Gupta stressed the importance of an annual eye examination for the preservation of sight.

Dr. Gupta is Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
