O Dr. George Wanna και Dr. David Lee στον Ηellas FM Featured

Την Τρίτη, 2 Μαϊου, εκλεκτοί καλεσμένοι στην εκπομπή του Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν οι παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένοι γιατροί Dr. George Wanna και Dr. David Lee.
Ο Dr. Wanna επικεντρώθηκε στα ακουστικά νευρινώματα, καλοήθεις όγκοι στο κρανιακό νεύρο που εντούτοις προκαλούν βλάβες στον εγκέφαλο όπως αναπτύσσονται. 
Ο γιατρός επίσης κάλυψε τις αιτίες και τους παράγοντες και ανέφερε πως στον χώρο θεραπείας εφαρμόζεται χειρουργική αγωγή.  Σημαντική είναι η άσκηση για την υγεία του μυαλού όπως και για το σώμα.

Ο Dr. Wanna είναι Καθηγητής και Ανώτατος Επικεφαλής Διευθυντής στο Τμήμα Ωτορινολαρυγγολογίας στο New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai και στο Mount Sinai Beth Israel,
Επικεφαλής του Τμήματος Ωτολογίας-Νευροτολογίας, Σύστημα Mount Sinai και Διευθυντής του Κέντρου Ακοής και Ισορροπίας και του Ινστιτούτου Ώτων, Σύστημα Mount Sinai.
Ο Dr. Wanna είναι Ανώτερος Καθηγητής Νευροχειρουργικής και Ωτορινολαρυγγολογίας στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai.

Ο Dr. Lee μίλησε για το μελάνωμα και τους διάφορους καρκίνους του δέρματος, αφού ο Μάϊος έχει καθοριστεί ως "Ο Μήνας για την Ενημέρωση Καρκίνου του Δέρματος". 
Ο γιατρός εξήγησε στους ακροατές πως ακριβώς το υπεριώδης φως του ήλιου καταστρέφει το DNA και επισήμανε ότι χρειάζεται προσοχή στα σημάδια που "κρούουν τον κώδωνα του κινδύνου".

Κλείνοντας, ανέφερε τις διάφορες θεραπευτικές αγωγές και έδοσε στους ακροατές συμβουλές για μιά καλύτερη ποιότητα ζωής και υγιέστατο δέρμα.

Ο Dr. Lee είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής Χειρουργικής και Χειρουργικής Ογκολογίας στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai και μέλλος στο "Κέντρο Μελανώματος και Καρκίνου του Δέρματος"
του Καρκινικού Ινστιτούτου Tisch στο Νοσοκομείο Mount Sinai.

On Tuesday, May 2nd, Dr. George Wanna and Dr. David Lee were the distinguished guests on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by FayKozas.
Dr. Wanna spoke about acoustic neuromas, benign tumors that develop in the cranial nerve.  Even though they are non-cancerous, they can still cause damage as they grow. 
The doctor also discussed the causes and risk factors as well as the surgical treatment modes.  In closing, Dr. Wanna mentioned that physical exercise is just as important for a healthy brain as it is for a healthy body.

Dr. Wanna is Professor and Chair of the Department of Otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai and Beth Israel,
Chief of the Division of Otology-Neurotology, Mount Sinai Health System and Director of the Hearing and Balance Center and the Ear Institute at the Mount Sinai Health System.
Dr. Wanna is Senior Faculty of Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Lee spoke about melanoma and skin cancers, being that May has been designated "Skin Cancer Awareness Month".  The doctor discussed the causes of skin cancer and explained how the sun's UV rays
destroy DNA.  It is important to be aware of the "ABCDE" signs of skin cancer.  The doctor also spoke about the various treatment overviews and gave the worldwide audience advice for a better quality of life and
healthy skin.

Dr. Lee is Assistant Professor of Surgery and Surgical Oncology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and a member of the multidisciplinary team of the Melanoma and Skin Cancer Center of the
Tisch Cancer Institute at Mount Sinai.
