Την Τρίτη, 26 Σεπτεμβρίου, εκλεκτός καλεσμένος στην εκπομπή του νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν ο παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένος γιατρός Dr. Edwin Salsitz.
Ο γιατρός επικεντρώθηκε στην υπερβολική κατανάλωση αλκοόλ και στον κίνδυνο της απότομης απόσυρσης, αφού μία τέτοια κίνηση μπορεί να έχει σοβαρά αποτελέσματα.
Ως κύριος ερευνητής του Προγράμματος Μεθαδόνης, ο γιατρός αναφέρθηκε επίσης και στα οπιοειδή, ειδικά στις προσπάθειες που καταβάλλονται για να μειωθούν οι συνταγές οπιοειδών.

On Tuesday, September 26th, Dr. Edwin Salsitz was the distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.
The doctor spoke about addiction medicine, specifically excessive alcohol consumption and the complications involved with alcohol withdrawal--quitting "cold turkey".
Dr. Salsitz, the principal investigator of the Methadone Maintenance Project, also discussed the opioid epidemic and the ongoing efforts to reduce opioid prescriptions. 
In closing, the doctor gave the worldwide audience advice for a better quality of life.

Dr. Salsitz is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and principal investigator of the Methadone Maintenance Project.
