Την Τρίτη, 12 Ιουνίου, εκλεκτή καλεσμένη στην εκπομπή του νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν η παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένη γιατρός Dr. Lisette Giraud.  Η γιατρός μίλησε για τις φωνητικές χορδές, σημαντικά όργανα που παράγουν την φωνή, και εξήγησε στους ακροατές πως ακριβώς λειτουργούν.  Η γιατρός ανέφερε πως αν οι φωνητικές χορδές τραυματιστούν ή αν παραλύσουν εξ'αιτίας νευρολογικών παθήσεων, προκύπτει δυσφωνία.  Στην συνέχεια, κάλυψε τις θεραπευτικές αγωγές και έδωσε  στους ακροατές συμβουλές για την διατήρηση της φωνής.  Η Dr. Giraud είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγήτρια Ωτορινολαρυγγολογίας στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai.

On Tuesday, June 12th, Dr. Lisette Giraud was the distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.
The doctor spoke about the vocal cords, significant organs in the production of the voice, and explained exactly how they work.  Dysphonia, a voice disorder, can present if the vocal cords are either injured or paralyzed due to neurological conditions.  The doctor also referred to the treatments and, in closing, gave the audience advice for the retention of the voice. Dr. Giraud is Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
