Την Τρίτη, 9 Οκτωβρίου, η Dr. Ageliki Vouyouka και η Dr. Sarah Cate ήταν οι καλεσμένες στην  ιατρική εκπομπή του νοσοκομείου  Mount Sinai  με την Φαίη Κοζά.  Η Dr. Vouyouka  επικεντρώθηκε στα ανευρύσματα  της κοιλιακής αορτής, μία
 παθολογική διάταση του  τοιχώματος της αορτής.  Η γιατρός κάλυψε τους  παράγοντες και τα συμπτώματα και  επισήμανε πως πολλές φορές είναι  ασυμπτωματική νόσο, κάτι που  θέτει σε κίνδυνο  τη ζωή του ασθενή.  Στην συνέχεια, η Dr. Vouyouka  ενημέρωσε τους ακροατές για τις  εξελίξεις και τις καινοτομίες  στον χειρουργικό τομέα.

 Η Dr. Vouyouka είναι  Αναπληρωτής Καθηγήτρια  Χειρουργικής και Ακτινολογίας  στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του   Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai.

 Η Dr. Sarah Cate  επικεντρώθηκε σε θέμα γυναικολογικό, συγκεκριμένα την  επανορθωτική χειρουργική  μαστού.  Όταν ξέρει μιά γυναίκα
 πως  μπορεί να  αποκαταστήση τον μαστό που της  αφαιρέθηκε εξ'αιτίας του  καρκίνου, ανεβαίνει το ηθικό της  και ηρεμεί ο ψυχικός της κόσμος.
 Η Dr. Cate αναφέρθηκε  στις διάφορες χειρουργικές με  λεπτομέρεια, ενημερώνοντας το
 ακροατήριο για τις σύχγρονες  εξελίξεις της ιατρικής.  

Η Dr. Cate είναι  Διευθύντρια Ειδικής
 Παρακολούθησης στο Πρόγραμμα  Μαστού.  Είναι επίσης Επίκουρος  Καθηγήτρια Χειρουργικής στην  Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν
 του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai.
 
 On Tuesday, October 9, Dr. Ageliki  Vouyouka and Dr. Sarah Cate were the distinguished guests on
 the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.  Dr. Vouyouka spoke about abdominal
 aortic aneurysms, a bulging of the aorta in the abdominal  area.  The doctor referred to the risk factors and  and mentioned that sometimes it can be
 asymptomatic, something that puts the life of the patient in  danger.  In the course of the presentation,  Dr. Vouyouka informed the audience
 about the advances and innovations in surgical treatments.   Dr. Vouyouka is Associate Professor of
 Surgery and Radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at  Mount Sinai.
 
 Dr. Sarah Cate discussed a  gynecological topic, specifically breast reconstructive
 surgery.  When a woman loses a breast to cancer, it is  comforting to know that
 she can replace it and feel feminine  once again.  Referring to the amazing strides of medicine,
Dr. Cate described the various breast reconstructive  surgeries that  are available today.  In closing, the
 doctor gave the worldwide audience advice for a better  quality of life.  Dr. Cate is Director, Special
 Surveillance, Breast Program.  The doctor is also Assistant  Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at
 Mount Sinai.
