Την Τρίτη, 16 Οκτωβρίου, εκλεκτός καλεσμένος στην εκπομπή του νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν ο παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένος χειρούργος Dr. Daniel Popowich.  Ο γιατρός επικεντρώθηκε σε θέμα γαστρεντερολογικό και ενημέρωσε τους ακροατές συγκεκριμένα για τις φλεγμονώδεις  παθήσεις των εντέρων.  Η νόσο Κρόουνς επηρεάζει οποιοδήποτε τμήμα της γαστρεντερολογικής κοιλότητας, ενώ η ελκώδη κολίτιδα επηρεάζει το παχύ έντερο και τον ορθό, με απροσδιόριστες γενικά αιτίες.  Κλείνοντας, ο Dr. Popowich αναφέρθηκε στις διάφορες χειρουργικές αγωγές θεραπείας.

On Tuesday, October 16, Dr. Daniel Popowich was the distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.  
Dr. Popowich spoke about inflammatory bowel diseases, specifically Crohn's and ulcerative colitis, both diseases of unknown causes.
The doctor explained that Crohn's affects the end portions of the small intestine, while ulcerative colitis usually affects the colon and the rectum.
In closing, Dr. Popowich informed the worldwide audience about the innovations in surgical treatments.  

Dr. Popowich is Assistant Professor of Colon and Rectal Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
