Την Τρίτη, 21 Μαϊου, εκλεκτή καλεσμένη στην εκπομπή του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν η παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένη Dr. Nicole Sislian.
Η γιατρός μίλησε για την απώλεια ακοής, μία πάθηση που συνδέεται με στίγμα, κάνοντας το θέμα ένα κοινωνικό "ταμπού". Η Dr. Sislian ανέφερε τις αιτίες της

On Tuesday, May 21, Dr. Nicole Sislian was the distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.
Dr. Sislian spoke about hearing loss, a topic associated with stigma, thus making it "taboo". Dr. Sislian discussed the causes and described the behaviors
of people with hearing loss as they attempt hide it from those around them. In the course of the medical show, the doctor informed the worldwide audience
about cochlear implantation, a medical innovation that provides direct electrical stimulation to the auditory nerve in the inner ear, thus restoring hearing.
Dr. Sislian is a Cochlear Implant Audiologist at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.
