Την Τρίτη, 3 Δεκεμβρίου, εκλεκτός καλεσμένος στην εκπομπή του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν ο
παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένος γιατρός Dr. Enrique Perez. Ο γιατρός μίλησε για τα ακουστικά νευρινώματα, καλοήθεις όγκοι,
που αναπτύσσονται στο νεύρο του αυτιού. Ο γιατρός ανέφερε τις βλάβες που πιθανόν να προκαλέσουν, όπως την απώλεια
ακοής, και ενημέρωσε τους ακροατές για τις καινοτομίες στον χώρο θεραπείας, συγκεκριμένα την εμφύτευση κοχλία.

Ο Dr. Perez είναι Διευθυντής Ωτολογίας στο Νοσοκομείο Mount Sinai και Επίκουρος Καθηγητής Ωτορινολαρυγγολογίας
στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai.

On Tuesday, December 3, Dr. Enrique Perez was the distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.
The doctor spoke about acoustic neuromas, non-cancerous tumors, that develop on the cranial nerve behind the ear. The doctor
referred to the damage that an acoustic neuroma can cause, which may include hearing loss, and informed the worldwide audience
about the innovations in treatments, such as cochlear implantation.

Dr. Perez is Director of Otology at the Mount Sinai Hospital and Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology at the Icahn School of
Medicine at Mount Sinai.
