Την Τρίτη, 11 Σεπτεμβρίου, εκλεκτή καλεσμένη στην εκπομπή του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν η παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένη γιατρός 
Dr. Staci Leisman.  Η γιατρός μίλησε για την πάθηση νεφρών και για την μεταμόσχευση νεφρών και εξήγησε πως λειτουργεί το σύστημα κατανομής μοσχευμάτων.  
Σημαντικό είναι να ελέγχονται η αρτηριακή πίεση και ο διαβήτης, δύο παράγοντες που ευθύνονται για την νεφρική ανεπάρκεια.

On Tuesday, September 11, Dr. Staci Leisman was the distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.
The doctor spoke about kidney disease and kidney transplantation and explained exactly how the organ donation system works.
It is significant to keep the blood pressure and diabetes under control, as they are two risk factors for kidney failure.  
In closing, Dr. Leisman gave the audience advice for a better quality of life.

Dr. Leisman is Co-Director of a nursing home affiliated with a dialysis unit in East Harlem and Associate Professor of Medicine, Nephrology, and 
Medical Education at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Την Τρίτη, 1η Μαϊου, εκλεκτός καλεσμένος στην εκπομπή του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai με την Φαίη Κοζά ήταν ο παγκοσμίως διακεκριμένος χειρουργός Dr. Benjamin Golas.   Ο γιατρός επικεντρώθηκε στον καρκίνο του ήπατος και του παγκρέατος, δύο καρκίνοι που αρχικά είναι ασυμπτωματικοί.  Κύριοι παράγοντες για τον καρκίνο του ήπατος είναι  η κίρρωση, η Ηπατίτιδα Β, και η Ηπατίτιδα C, ενώ για τον καρκίνο του παγκρέατος ευθύνονται αλλοιώσεις στα γονίδια, ο ιός της Ηπατίτιδας Β, και η χρόνια παγκρεατίτιδα.  Στην διάρκεια της ιατρικής εκπομπής, ο Dr. Golas ενημέρωσε τους ακροατές για τις καινούργιες εξελίξεις και καινοτομίες στον χώρο θεραπείας. Ο Dr. Golas είναι Επίκουρος Καθηγητής Χειρουργικής στην Ιατρική Σχολή Άϊκαν του Νοσοκομείου Mount Sinai.  Ο γιατρός είναι ένας από τους πρώτους χειρουργούς στις ΗΠΑ με πιστοποίηση στην περίπλοκη χειρουργική ογκολογίας.

On Tuesday, May 1st, Dr. Benjamin Golas was the distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.
The doctor spoke about cancer of the liver and pancreas, which many times can be asymptomatic in the beginning stages.  The risk factors for cancer of the liver include cirrhosis, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, while the risk factors for cancer of the pancreas include genetic mutations, the Hepatitis B virus, and chronic pancreatitis. In the course of the medical show, Dr. Golas informed the audience about the major advances and innovations in treatments. Dr. Golas is Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
The doctor is one of the few doctors in the U.S. to be board certified in complex surgical oncology.

Ο γιατρός επικεντρώθηκε σε μία πάθηση που απασχολεί τον ανδρικό πληθυσμό--ο καρκίνος του προστάτη.  Αρχικά, ο γιατρός αναφέρθηκε στο τεστ PSA και εξήγησε στους ακροατές
πως μία υψηλή τιμή δεν εννοεί διάγνωση καρκίνου.  Καλό θα είναι να γίνει και τεστ με μαγνητική τομογραφία και το 4Κ για πιο σίγουρη διάγνωση.  Στην συνέχεια της ιατρικής εκπομπής,

On Tuesday, May 16, Dr. Art Rastinehad was the highly distinguished guest on the Mount Sinai Medical Show hosted by Fay Kozas.
The doctor discussed a medical topic that pertains to the male population--cancer of the prostate.  Initially, the doctor mentioned that a high PSA score does not necessarily mean that the man has prostate cancer
and recommended an MRI and a 4K as follow-up diagnostic tests.  In the course of the medical show, Dr. Rastinehad also discussed the major advancements and innovations regarding treatment, such as the
new HIFU device that uses high-intensity ultrasound waves to destroy cancerous prostate tissue.  In closing, Dr. Rastinehad gave the worldwide audience advice for a better quality of life.

Dr. Rastinehad is Director of Focal Therapy and Interventional Urologic Oncology in the Mount Sinai Health System.

Dr. Rastinehad is Associate Professor of Urology and Radiology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
